Overview
An AI-augmented industrial control system for warehouse and plant automation, designed around the constraint that safety logic must remain deterministic and auditable even when AI is in the loop.
The Challenge
Applying AI to physical automation is genuinely dangerous if the model can issue control commands directly. Any useful system has to be able to prove that AI cannot override a safety interlock.
The Solution
A safety-first architecture: AI never bypasses PLC interlocks, and all control flows through validated recipes. Policy enforcement is externalized to Open Policy Agent so authorization rules are declarative and independently auditable rather than scattered through application code.
